Bringing radio frequency identification (RFID) to your inventory!
What if-
There were a means to effectively monitor vehicles?
What if-
That would be an ongoing process, a hands-free perpetual inventory - 24-7?
What if-
That same system would notify management every moment of every day when a vehicle moves?
What if-
All you had to do was attach a small RFID chip to the vehicle?
Due to larger dealerships, multi-franchises, split facilities and an increased number of vehicles, dealerships have the ongoing problem of controlling their valuable inventory. Many people have access to keys; often vehicles disappear for extended periods of time without the knowledge of management. It is a fact that most vehicle theft is by employees.
What is vTRACT
vTRACT is a perpetual inventory, vehicle tracking and security system. It is designed as a facility management system to control your assets within the dealership and track them off and on the facility.
RFID Technology
vTRACT utilizes the very latest radio frequency identification (RFID) technology available on the market to ensure you, the dealer, have complete control. It is the ultimate in lot security and tracking systems.
Perpetual Inventory
vTRACT will continually monitor vehicles in your inventory to ensure they are on the lot or accounted for. Periodically, each vehicle "reports in" by transmitting a signal identifying that unique vehicle. vTRACT continually monitors your inventory alerting you within minutes if a vehicle is missing.
Want an accurate demo and test-drive management tool? The exact time the vehicle left the facility is time and date stamped. Now you have the ultimate sales manager tool.
Key Components of vTracT
Software
The heart of the vTRAC system is our powerful software. eNet's comprehensive software provides the comfort and security of knowing that your inventory is safe and secure. You define the functionality that fits your particular dealerships needs, just select from our comprehensive list to decide what is important for the security you want.
Tag Readers
Readers are utilized to track vehicles within your facility. Readers are strategically placed at each egress point and other points within the facility where tracking is desired. Unique reader IDs in conjunction with vehicle tag information are the key elements of tracking your inventory.
Field Generators
These devices are utilized to turn on readers before a vehicle passes. Due to the power of vTRACT vehicle transponders, these devices are required to activate readers for the transmission of data.
Vehicle Transponders
Placed in the windshield of each vehicle, these devices are what house the unique RFID chip for each vehicle. These may be reassigned to other vehicles as the original unit is sold or left in the vehicle for eNet's service tracking system "sTRAC". If the transponders are "illegally" removed, an alarm is sounded and information is transmitted to the vTRAC system to alert management.
Each transponder is battery powered; typical battery life is 1-3 years depending on usage. If a battery power does get low there is automatic "low battery" detection via the vTRAC application. Battery replacement is covered via eNet's system maintenance.
Personal Transponder
Optional personnel transponders are utilized for automatic tracking of sales associates/demo tracking. Staff is assigned individual transponders which may be utilized to schedule demos and track vehicles on/off the facility.
Mobile Reader
Vehicles may be easily located utilizing the direction signal strength locator. Vehicle tags may be optionally set to blink or beep to assist in vehicle location.
Wireless Network
In most cases, eNet's supplies a wireless network to interconnect the remote readers to the vTRAC system. In situations where a wireless network is not feasible the dealer is reposible for wiring and network connectivity.
